Hosted by Megan Edwards, Level 6 Graphic Design student, 'Save it for the Bedroom' was a really exciting event with a creative, collaborative atmosphere. The premise was to make your own zines with provided resources in conjunction with her COP work. It was great just to move away from concept heavy practice and just produce something instinctively creative. I wanted to create a random narrative, incorporating surrealist aspects and typography.
The event also allowed me to network with other zine makers and talk about fun ideas for the pages inside. This taught me the value of sharing ideas, no matter how silly or playful. I wasn't too precious of the zine, trying to make it fun of humour and incorporating aspects suggested by other
